UNCONDITIONAL JOY! – Addendum

I thought I’d repost part of the following blog article that came in just yesterday.  It dovetails very nicely with what I wrote back in February, doesn’t it?  It’s both a great confirmation, and a nice expansion, of the personal sentiments that I expressed in my post.  Enjoy!  And feel free to view the entire article, and other insightful, helpful information, at http://lucas2012infos.wordpress.com/

Jafree Ozwald – Enlightened Beings – How To Be Unstoppably Happy

Posted on March 9, 2012 at lucas2012infos.wordpress.com/2012/03/09/jafree-ozwald-enlightened-beings-how-to-be-unstoppably-happy-9-march-2012/

There are many people who have spent lifetimes striving to reach their dreams and goals which they believe will one day make them happy. Yet, most find themselves addicted to the pursuit of their vision, and the fantasy of what may come, instead of actually enjoying being happy in their lives today. The truth is there are as many distractions inside us as there are on the outside of us, and they are ALL excuses that say it’s not possible to be happy right now. The secret we have discovered to becoming unstoppably happy is simply to see how happiness is not far away at all. It is always a choice readily available to you in each new moment.

When the understanding sinks in that your inner happiness is not based upon anything in the outer world, you start the journey towards being truly liberated and empowered. No matter how people react in life, you don’t have to wallow in sadness, negativity or pain. You can choose to feel it momentarily and move on into joy and appreciation because it is simply an availalbe choice! However your choose to respond to those people in your outer world results in what experience you’re accepting on your inner world, and this greatly impacts how you feel about yourself. You are always interpreting situations and events in your life, so why not choose the response that opens those doors towards feelings of expansion, serenity, appreciation and continuous jubilation!

Happiness is a FEELING that is always available to you. It can be accessed instantly whenever you remember that acceptance, appreciation and self approval is always a choice. It is possible in each moment to love yourself and accept life exactly as it is. It’s that simple! Make the decision right now that NOTHING, yes absolutely nothing, can stop you from choosing joy, appreciation and relaxation in any moment. There is nothing more powerful than having this choice. When you accept this, you’ll discover a deeper freedom hidden inside you that is continuously emanating from the very core of your being.

“Act happy, feel happy, be happy, without a reason in the world. Then you can love, and do what you will.” – Dan Millman

Happiness is a conscious choice, not an automatic response.”  – Mildred Barthel.

“We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”  –  Fredrick Koeing

“A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes.”  – Hugh Downs

Welcome! Post #1 by WaveRider1

Good day, fellow humans!  This is my first post in my first blog, and so shall serve as an introduction of sorts.

I AM a long-term wave rider, surfer of the ever-shifting tides of change.  I ride waves of pure energy.  Most of these waves are those found breaking on the shores of our planet’s oceans.  However, more recently, I’ve been riding some other types of waves, emanating from a very different Source.  It’s been quite a ride so far!

Anyway, this little blog is my way of communicating my current experiences on this wild ride to family, friends, and others who may have an interest in either the outer manifestations of my personal life; how to arrive at a custom-tailored version of your own personal dream life; ‘what the heck is going on in this crazy world?’ — or all of the above!  The style shall be a bit of a mix of personal anecdotes from my life in the tropics (maybe some accompanied by photos and short videos), commentaries on specific videos and/or articles and/or other blog posts, and musings and reflections on themes and questions that arise from these, or those same that pop up in my daily life or in my personal communications with others, that I feel could use some . . . . attention.

As a reference of sorts, the unusual style I have chosen for this blog can be found in a book that some of you may be familiar with (I’m dating myself now, you know . . .) called ‘Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance‘ by Robert M. Pirsig.  This classic from the 70’s (not read by me until well into the 80’s, by the way — I’m not that old!) made a big impression on my fertile young mind at the time, as it explored, via this offbeat style, what the author characterized as ‘an inquiry into values’ (which is actually its subtitle).  Here is how he described his writing style:  ‘What is in mind is a sort of Chautauqua . . . . like the traveling tent-show Chautauquas that used to move across America, . . . an old-time series of popular talks intended to edify and entertain . . .’.  Great read, if you ever get the chance — especially for any of you who have owned a motorcycle, or delved into Zen Buddhism to any degree, or both (like I have).

While riding this wild wave called Life on Planet Earth, I have had some pretty crazy and challenging experiences, and done some pretty heavy research into lots of different topics, primarily driven by the huge question most definitely on many people’s minds these days:  ‘WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON AROUND HERE???!!!‘  So this blog is dedicated to a) entertaining anecdotes about my very unique, yet also very much accessible, life(style), and b) the biggest questions of existence facing humanity today.  What a combo, huh?

I welcome you to join me on this offbeat exploration of ‘modern’ life and times.  If you like what you read/see/feel here, please feel free to subscribe, and post any diplomatic comments.  I should warn you, though:  This blog is not for those who like their information or ‘reports from the hinterlands’ sugar-coated.  As those who know me will not hesitate to attest to, my unapologetic and occasionally even undiplomatic style is not the warmest and fuzziest around!  Because of this quirky aspect of my personality, this blog site is NOT a discussion board, nor do I wish to engage in any type of ‘discussion’ or ‘debate’ of the issues presented in this particular space.  For THAT type of interaction, please visit (and join if you feel so inclined) a wonderful platform for discussing some very deep current topics that I co-founded a few months ago, at www.AscendingCommunity.com.

That’s about it for now.  Until the next time . . . .
